To free up space on your device, you can clear the Memories cache. The cache contains Snaps and Stories you’ve recently saved to Memories, as well as other data to make Memories load faster.
Here’s how to delete the Memories cache:
- Tap the
at the top of the Camera screen. - Tap .
- Scroll down and tap ‘Clear Cache.’
- Tap ‘Clear Memories Cache’ and confirm.

.Clearing the Memories cache doesn’t actually delete your Memories. It only clears locally stored Memories content to free up space on your device.
Please Note: At this time, it’s not possible to disable Memories or delete all of your Memories content in one tap. However, you can choose where Snaps and Stories ‘save to’ by default when you tap the save button. To change the ‘Save To…’ setting on Snapchat, open Settings and scroll down to ‘Save To…’ If you choose ‘Camera Roll only,’ Snaps and Stories you save won’t be saved to Memories.
On my snapchat, I see under my story, there is a thing called our story. What’s that and how can I make it go away
Our story is snapchats story so if you post something on it, your picture goes to their story and you can’t make it go away but if you post something from your camera roll you won’t be able to post on “our story” do you see what I’m saying?

I had over 1,500 memories saved and backed up when i pressed clear memories cache everything except for about 40 pictures were left and i can seem to find then anywhere!!!

Hi I cleared Cache All by mistake – I tried cancelling it down as soon as I pressed it but it still continued and now the vividness of my phone and camera is not the same? Is this suppose to happen?

Clearing browser and lens cache do not affect stories or memories so if you need extra data but don’t want to lose your memories

My question is if I clear cache will all my images on sc be deleted or will it stay?
So I have 600 stories to backup on my snap and it won’t let , i searched on google and all I pretty much found is I have to clear all my caches but if I do that then will all the things I have saved in my memories erase??
I need to clear up storage on my phone. Snapchat is taking up a lot of space. I know about clearing the caches. What ones would I be safe to clear if I don’t want to loose ANY memories or streaks? I just need to clear stuff off my snapchat without changing my snap.
If I make a story out of a bunch of pictures from my memories and then delete those pictures from the memories (but not the story) will they be deleted from the story too? Just being a neat freak whoops.
